"We are passionate about making a difference."
Domestic violence is an issue that we care deeply about. Domestic violence can have a devastating effect on the lives of individuals, families and society at large. The NSW government has set a priority to reduce domestic violence reoffending by 25% by 2020. In June of 2017, Cred was selected from a large pool of applicants to receive funding, incubation and mentorship to help achieve this goal. We participated in a 12 week incubation process facilitated by Fusion Labs with the purpose of adapting our existing platform to support existing face-to-face interventions across NSW.
We are proud to report that we are currently in the process of setting up pilots with a number of domestic violence service providers across the state as well as planning a randomised control trial with the NSW government's behavioural insights unit.
Type 1 diabetes is a life-long autoimmune disease that usually occurs in childhood but can be diagnosed at any age. Type 1 diabetes affects over 120,000 people in Australia alone. Ronan's daughter, Daire, is one of these people. At Cred, we are committed to the search to cure diabetes by supporting JDRF. JDRF is the leading global organisation funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. Their mission is to accelerate life-changing breakthroughs to cure, prevent and treat T1D and its complications.
